I’m so happy to have gotten to photograph Rolan, Sabrina, and baby bump. They’re super fun and the shoot was relaxed, fun and funny. I love when couples are willing to be romantic and goofy.

Kathleen and Brian–Married!

Kathleen and Brian got Married at the beautiful Crystal Lake Lodge in Woodinville where Kathleen spent summers as a kid. The day couldn’t have been lovelier, and I got a chance to shoot a wedding in sunlight, for once!

Yui and Aviv: Married!

Yui and Aviv were married on a beautiful spring day at Canlis (http://www.canlis.com/). This was an atypical wedding for me; all indoor and all editorial. Just fly-on-the-wall photography. I think it’s beautiful how the absence of many formal portraits accentuates the candid shots of the bride and groom and how much the story of the day then becomes the theme of the wedding. I think I may have another signature photo among the candid portraits of the bride.

Environmental Portraits

A couple weekends ago I did a really big shoot for a company (Shhh…their advertising hasn’t launched yet). They wanted photos of people doing what they loved doing best; in short 12 portraits in two days in relatively unexplored locations and a variety of looks and people and activities. I was looking forward to it going in, but still got that thrill of the unknown feeling before hand. I love that feeling! Here are a selection of the first draft favorites

1st wedding of the season!

I’m on my way to shoot my second wedding of the season today and I’m so happy its wonderfully beautifully sunny! My first wedding of the season I shot with the incomparable Barbie Hull (http://barbiehull.com/). It was so much fun; we went all the way out to Kitsap Memorial State Park; got to take the ferry and spend the day outside. Thank goodness it was great weather. A spring wedding outdoors!

Hilary and Chris were so happy with each other. I love couples like that. Makes my day!

The sun came out just when the wedding started, umbrellas went away and the whole ceremony was bright and sunny.

The unity candle even stayed lit
